Журналистка от полската телевизия „Белсат“ бе осъдена в Беларус на затвор, Варшава – недопустимо е
Беларуският съд днес осъди на пет години затвор журналистка от полската телевизия „Белсат“ – присъда, която Варшава определи като недопустима и на която заяви, че ще реагира, съобщи Ройтерс, цитирано от БТА.
Журналистката Ирина Славникова беше призната за виновна за създаване на екстремистка група и организиране на масови безредици. Тя е поредната задържана по подобни обвинения по време на репресиите, които продължават да се разрастват, откакто през 2020 г. бяха организирани поредица от протести.
Славникова беше арестува през октомври на едно летище, когато се връщала от почивка, припомни Ройтерс. По-голямата част от процеса срещу нея се проведе при закрити врата, но при произнасяне на присъдата се видя, че журналистката е в клетка за подсъдими.
„Белсат“ е полски телевизионен оператор фокусиран върху новините от Беларус, който Минск определи като екстремистки.
Полският премиер Матеуш Моравецки описа задържането на Славникова като „абсолютен скандал, нарушаване на всички цивилизационни норми, човешки права и журналистически стандарти“. „Тази недопустима присъда ще се сблъска с незабавната и решителна реакция на Полша на международно ниво“, написа във „Фейсбук“ полският премиер.
Миналият месец съд в Беларус осъди друга журналистка от „Белсат“ на 8 години затвор за държавна измяна.
Беларус държи около 1300 политически затворници, смятат от беларуската правозащитна организация „Вясна-96“. Много от тях са били арестувани по време на вълната от протести срещу президента Александър Лукашенко, който управлява от 1994 година.
